No matter what the weather decides to throw at us, we're ready to make the most of it with a snow-filled extravaganza. When the kids are out of school, it's the perfect time for science to steal the show. This December, come embrace the magic of winter with a whole bunch of cool science activities. From Saturday, December 21, through Wednesday, January 1, we've got a whirlwind of arctic-themed fun waiting for you every day.

And here's the best part: you don't need to break the bank to join in. All activities come free with paid admission, and if you're a member, you get the goods at no extra charge—unless noted otherwise, of course. So grab your hat and gloves; it's time to get your winter science fix at the Maryland Science Center. Just remember, snowballs aren't included.
